Just met with the Konnect group from Kendall regarding designs for posters/shirts/materials for the upcoming show. Designs are coming together nicely. The first promo material should be going up next week.

ACTIVESITE | EMERGE

The 5th event in an ongoing series... brought to you by Kendall College of Art & Design, the UICA, and Locus Development.

ACTIVESITE | EMERGE is an exhibition of sculpture featuring graduate and undergraduate thesis students, showcasing emerging talent from Michigan's fine art programs.

ACTIVESITE has teamed with Locus Development to use the historic Flat Iron Building; located at the corner of Ottawa and Monroe Ctr., the Flat Iron Building was built in 1860 and is the oldest building on Monroe Center.

Likely identified best by ground floor deli - Blake's Turkey, Locus Development’s headquarters reside on the second floor. The Groskopfs building was also constructed in 1860; the ground level is in use by Groskopfs Fine Luggage and Gifts, but the upper three floors are vacant. Finally, the Herkner building was constructed in 1870 and is entirely vacant.

All vacant space in the three buildings will be used for the ACTIVESITE | Emerge exhibition; once again providing a unique opportunity for attendees and an exciting challenge for the ACTIVESITE team.
